CHAIRS Global is a dedicated community for board leaders to connect, learn and access expert insights. Designed exclusively for corporate, institutional and social impact chairs, it provides a trusted space for peer-to-peer support, governance best practices and strategic leadership resources.
Located on the top floor of 139 Macquarie Street, with panoramic views over Sydney Harbour and the Royal Botanic Garden, the vision for the new suite emerged through close collaboration with our aesthetically attuned clients, whose discerning tastes and insights shaped every detail. Bathed in natural light and framed by floor-to-ceiling timber glazing, the space has been crafted as a sanctuary of elegance and tranquillity.
The design direction is warm, textured and meticulously crafted. Hand-built furniture, artisanal joinery, detailed wall construction and traditional stonemasonry express the project’s commitment to craftsmanship. Soft, textured materials carry throughout the interior across floors, walls, curtains, lighting and styling elements. The warm, earthy tones of the Desso & Patricia Urquiola carpet by Tarkett ground the meeting and work zones, while the Materialise acoustic curtain gently encloses the meeting room with privacy and tactility. Woven Image’s Palace echo panels add a sculptural, refined layer of acoustic comfort.
Lighting plays a key role in shaping the ambience. The Nooi pendant by Lighterior and the Lume ceramic wall pendants by Ochre & Silk serve as sculptural statement pieces, balancing form and warmth within the palette.
Throughout the suite, materiality and tone converge to create a refined, welcoming atmosphere. Florentine Walnut introduces a rich, grounding presence, paired with bold paint applications that add vibrancy and contrast. Porter’s Arctic Bay pays homage to the teal accents of the CHAIRS Global identity, while Dulux’s Russet Tan brings a professional yet playful note, infusing the interior with character and charm.
Delivering this level of detail within a compact footprint required exceptional planning and trade coordination. With limited room for error, every decision — from sequencing to detailing — was meticulously managed to ensure precision and seamless execution.
“I’m sure I speak for all at CHAIRS Global when I say that we are delighted with what you have produced. Equally important is the customer experience you’ve given us - the commitment, detail orientation and total client focus throughout the entire project. We are proud to have been the debut project for Gradi Projects. It couldn’t have gone better. Thank you for everything you’ve done for CHAIRS Global”.
